Where We Are
Casa de la Vida is located in Barrio San Pedro, north Tepoztlan, the famous Pueblo Mágico, that has a long tradition of healing and curanderos, and is still within walking distance to the zocalo- centre of town. Tepoztlan mountains are well known for their magnificent beauty and special electromagnetic energy that can be felt instantaneously upon arrival. Artists, craftsmen, healers, therapists, spiritual and alternative lifestyle seekers settle here making it an interesting and enjoyable place to visit. The town of Tepoztlan is steeped in tradition that is still being practiced today and can be experienced and enjoyed by the visitors.
Visitors can take hikes and walks through the forest only a minute away, climb to the top of the mountain to enjoy the majestic view of the surroundings. Fresh clean mountain air, silence and peacefulness is healing for the body and soul. Leaving traffic, noise, pollution and stress of the city life behind to relax, regenerate and heal at Casa de la Vida.
There are many archeological sites in and around Tepoztlan that are of interest. Every weekend there is excellent local market offering many crafts, gifts, traditional food and a taste of Mexican life. Restaurants offering delicious traditional and new cuisine have opened up, as well as cafes and bars where one can enjoy a variety of live music from local talented musicians.
About 20 minutes away by car is Cuernavaca, the City of Eternal Spring with many tourist attractions, museums, concerts, markets and restaurants.
Within a short distance from Cuernavaca and Tepoztlan there
are many other worthwhile attractions such as hot and cold water springs, rivers, waterfalls, magnificent caves, pyramids and other archeological sites.(Information can be provided by Casa de la Vida).

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS
- Driving from Mexico DF on the motorway, take the exit for TEPOZTLAN. Follow the road and
shortly (well before you come to the main road) take the turn to the left (you will see a sign for
CUATLA). Take it and keep to the left and follow the sign for Mexico DF as if you are going back on
the motorway. - Do not follow the road that will take you to Cuautla, but follow the sign for Mexico.
- See the maps provided above as they will guide you.
- Go across the yellow bridge and drive straight. Then you will see a sign for San Juan Tlacotengo. Take this turn to the right and down, then immediately you will take a left turn, going uphill. (This is the road to San Juan Tlacotengo).
- Keep going up the road about 1km. When you see the sign for 1km (on your right) the road makes
an S-curve. After you pass the S-curve you will take the 3rd entrance on the right which has a sign
OCELOTZIN painted on a post. - Turn right and follow the road up. It turns to the left (Do not go into the mechanic´s shop). There
are signs in the form of a sun painted on posts and tress and walls that will guide you all the way
to Casa de la Vida. - You will pass through a large red metal gate on your left and Casa de la Vida is the 2nd house on
the right. You will see a yellow sun (the logo of Casa de la Vida) painted on the green door. - The number is 17.
